Privacy Policy
Outfein (“we”, “us”) is a fashion assistant app that helps you manage a digital wardrobe, get outfit inspiration, use virtual try-on, and chat with an AI stylist.
Information we collect
- Account: email, username, optional phone, and authentication data (including Apple or Google Sign-In if you choose them).
- Profile & preferences: style tags, occasions, color preferences, and onboarding answers.
- Photos & media: wardrobe item photos you add, optional selfie or body photos for virtual try-on, and the try-on images generated from them. These are stored in private Supabase Storage under your account. Try-on is not used to identify you and is not a biometric identification feature.
- Location (optional): if you allow location, the app rounds the coordinate on your device to two decimal degrees before anything is saved, and stores only that approximate value for local weather and outfit suggestions. The raw precise coordinate is not written to your profile.
- Calendar (optional): if you connect calendar access and allow cloud processing, the app automatically scans the next 14 days across accessible device calendars (excluding the calendar Outfein creates). Events classified on your device as relevant for outfit suggestions are copied to Supabase with their title, time and place. These fields may be sent to Google Gemini to suggest an outfit. Disconnecting in Settings disables device sync, withdraws the calendar consent and removes our calendar event copies when the server confirms success. If a network or cleanup error occurs, the app shows an error so you can retry. Your original device calendar events stay on your device.
- Purchases: subscription and entitlement status via Apple App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat (we do not store full payment card numbers).
- Usage: app interactions needed to provide features (e.g. stylist messages, credits usage).
How we use information
We use this data to operate Outfein: authenticate you, sync your wardrobe and outfits, personalize recommendations, run AI try-on / stylist features, process subscriptions, and improve reliability and safety.
Face data
Outfein does not use Face ID, TrueDepth, ARKit face tracking, or facial recognition. We do not collect facial geometry, depth maps, face templates, or biometric identifiers.
If you choose virtual try-on, you may upload a selfie and a full-body photo. These photographs may include your face. We use them only to create your personal try-on model and to generate virtual try-on images that show clothing on a likeness of you. The same purpose applies to the images we generate from those photos.
We store these photos and generated images in private Supabase Storage under your account. With your virtual try-on consent, we send them to Fal to produce your requested model, try-on or background-removed image. If you instead choose to search for shopping links using a photo in the stylist, that selected photo (including any face visible in it) is sent to SerpApi/Google Lens under the separate stylist choice described below. We do not sell face data, share it with advertisers, or use it to identify you across apps or services.
We keep those photographs and generated likenesses until you delete the try-on profile, delete the result, or your account deletion finishes. If file deletion cannot be finished, the account is not removed. We have not verified how long Fal or its CDN keeps a copy after we delete our own files.
AI providers and consent
Before a feature sends personal data to an AI provider, the app asks for a separate choice explaining that feature's providers and data. Accepting the photo picker, or accepting our Terms, does not grant this permission. You can decline or withdraw in Settings. Confirmed withdrawal blocks new requests and requests cancellation of queued work. Requests already sent to a provider cannot be recalled; we do not claim that withdrawal erases copies already held by that provider. An error is shown if server cleanup needs retrying. You can still add wardrobe photos without optional background removal.
If a withdrawal cannot reach the server, the app saves a pending request on your device and blocks new transfers from that device for the affected feature. It retries while you are signed in when the app opens or returns to the foreground. Settings shows calendar disconnection as pending until the server confirms it; server automation may continue until that confirmation. Notifications already dispatched to a push service or your device cannot be recalled and may still arrive.
- Fal: virtual try-on and background removal send selected selfie, body, clothing or generated model images to produce your requested image. Photos may include your face.
- Google Gemini: the stylist, optional calendar outfit ideas, and suitcase packing send the text needed for the request (closet descriptions, style requests, synchronized event fields or trip details).
- SerpApi / Google Shopping and Google Lens: the stylist sends shopping search text to find product links. When you choose shopping search using an attached photo, its image URL is sent to SerpApi/Google Lens so the service can retrieve and analyze the photo. This is disclosed in the stylist consent before transfer. We have not independently verified how long these services retain their copies.
Sharing
We use processors including Supabase (account, database and private file storage), Fal (virtual try-on and background removal), Google Gemini (stylist, calendar and suitcase suggestions), SerpApi/Google Lens and Google Shopping (shopping searches), RevenueCat with Apple App Store or Google Play (subscriptions), and Google Weather or Open-Meteo (approximate coordinates for weather). We do not sell your personal information.
Retention & deletion
You can request deletion in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account. The app tells you the account is deleted only after the server reports that the deletion finished. A lost connection, a timeout, or an error is not treated as success, and you can retry. Deletion is meant to remove the Outfein account and the profile, wardrobe, and generated files we control. If file deletion cannot be finished, the account is not removed and the app does not say that everything was deleted.
If you signed in with Apple and we do not have a token that lets us revoke that connection, or Apple’s revoke call fails temporarily, your Outfein data can still be deleted. You may then need to revoke Outfein yourself in Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple. We do not claim that processor or CDN copies outside our storage are deleted.

If you have an active subscription, billing continues through Apple or Google until you cancel in the store. Deleting the Outfein account does not cancel the store subscription.
Children
Outfein is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
